Announcement for the Application of "Ministry of Education Scholarship for Low-income International Students" in Academic Year 2025

  1. Eligibility

    • Applicants must be undergraduate students at our university who are eligible to study in Taiwan according to the Regulations on Overseas Students Returning to Study and Guidance, including Hong Kong and Macao students admitted under the Regulations on Hong Kong and Macao Residents Studying in Taiwan.

    • Applicants must come from low-income families.

    • Additional requirements for applicants in Year 2 or above:

      • Applicants who are graduate students, students with extended study periods, or those already receiving other forms of government financial aid, fee waivers, or scholarships are ineligible.

      • Applicants must not have received a penalty of expulsion or above.

      • Applicants must have an average GPA of at least 60% and an average conduct score of A or above in the previous academic year. If the applicant was not enrolled for the entire previous academic year, the most recent academic year's GPA and conduct scores will be considered.

  2. Application Period: From Monday, August 18, 2025 to Friday, September 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Late applications will not be accepted.

  3. Application Method:

    • Online application is required. Please complete the following procedures:

      1. Log in to the "Student Financial Aid System" on myNTU, submit your application, and obtain a "List of Documents to Submit." Ensure to sign it.

      2. Prepare the following documents (items 1-8) in order and combine them into a single PDF file named "ID Number_Name," then upload it to the online form: Application Form . Once submitted, the form cannot be modified. Please ensure all information is correct before submission.

        • List of Documents to Submit

        • Application Form for Low-income International Student Scholarship and Review Criteria (including ID photo sheet and supporting documents as required by review criteria)

        • "Low-income Proof" issued by a unit recognized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council or other supporting documents. If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into one of these languages. If parents have a household registration in Taiwan, please also attach the full household income statement or tax exemption certificate for the previous year.

        • Electronic copy of both sides of student ID and proof of enrollment. Proof of enrollment can be downloaded from "Student Learning Portfolio e-Portfolio (ePo)" at https://eportfolio.ntu.edu.tw/ . Freshmen may download this after September 1st. If no proof of enrollment is available, please bring the original and a copy of your student ID to the Registration Office for stamping with the 2025 academic year first semester registration stamp.

        • Admission notice from the Overseas Joint Admissions Committee or admission notice for individual admission based on recommendation by overseas high schools.

        • For applicants in Year 2 or above, an official transcript for the previous or most recent academic year must be attached. Please request this from the Registration Office or use the campus automatic fee payment machine to apply.

        • For applicants in Year 2 or above, a "Conduct Performance Certificate" must be attached. This can be downloaded from the "Student Reward and Punishment Certificate Printing System" on myNTU.

        • Transfer students must provide a transfer certificate or proof of study from their previous school, as well as a transcript for the previous or most recent academic year that meets the application standards.
